Various entities guide the team along their quest too. Sonya, Luka's friend since childhood but who didn't exist at all in the "fundamental history," tags along too. He can only choose one to be his companion, and his choice will alter how the story plays out in various ways. Along the way, he meets both Alice and Ilias, but they've been weakened severely and turned into lolis. He wakes up, and climbs a mountain to defeat the numerous slimes that had kidnapped that same villager. This story instead begins with Luka dreaming of Ilias warning him of a "darkness consuming the world" before fading away into static. It has actual RPG-esque gameplay through and through, but the method of storytelling remains similar to a light novel. As opposed to its counterpart, paradox is more RPG than novel. Part 2 was released around 9 months later, on December 17th, 2011. Part 1 was released on the 10th of March, 2011. It was released in 3 different sections, or parts. He learns what his goddess' true motives are and always have been, and the course of his quest redirects itself into one to slay Ilias and her 2 co-conspirators instead. Luka can't bring himself to kill her, and angers goddess Ilias. They travel the world, face down various foes, experience run-ins with the 4 heavenly knights and eventually arrive at the monster lord's palace, where it's revealed that Alice was the current monster lord all along. He sets out on a heroic quest to defeat the monster lord and end racism regardless of that, and along the way meets his travelling companion, Alice. He misses his baptism, and is unable to become an official hero. Therefore, he wants to get baptized by goddess Ilias so he can be a hero, but he gets held up with saving a fellow villager from a monster girl. Ilias greets him in a dream and tells him that he can be a hero like Heinrich. The original story is told from the perspective of the male protagonist, Luka. It is more LN than RPG, with the combat being the main RPG-oriented feature. This is not the full game and instead about a quarter of it, but it does get you invested enough that it probably will make you want to try out the full release of it. Where Am I?įinding out who you are and what is going on as well as the real deal with this island is basically what the game is about. For example, you have monster girls that are both sci-fi and fantasy in this game so there is a ton of variety in that regard. The various monster girls have a ton of personality to them and I like how the game is not just one kind of style. This along with the first-person perspective makes you feel like you are on this island. This game is going full 3D and as a result, it gets you more invested in the game world. Many games like this go for a 2D look or a top down perspective which is great and something that I like. I have played a ton of lewd games the past couple of years and I would easily put Monster Girl Island: Prologue as one of the best looking ones out there. The visual presentation of the game is stunning.
